Blood the Last Vampire - Not a single soul. There are only two people riding the subway train. Blood the Last Vampire is a movie set in post-modern Tokyo before the beginning of the Vietnam War. Saya Otonashi is the "last original" as the supporting characters narrowly say. Her purpose is to hunt down and kill demonic figures in human disguise called Chiropterans. In accordance, she is in the subway train for the exact same reason. The moment the train passes through a dark area, Saya repels from her seat and immediately charges toward the other person - her katana gleaming in the dim light. Within seconds, blood is splattered across the subway door. I don't know which is scarier, the demonic figures in disguise, or a Japanese girl with a katana randomly slashing strangers using only her guts to determine a human from Chiropteran. The introduction of this movie is incredibly captivating. Action-oriented scenes working hand-in-hand with breathtaking animation detail and cinematography. The story gets more interesting as Saya is forced to attend Yohkoto campus to locate and eliminate two Chiropterans in disguise. If you easily get nightmares, I suggest you don't watch this at night. Have a chilling movie time.
